As the UX Lead for A-League’s suite of 15 websites and mobile apps, I am entrusted with end-to-end ownership of the UX practice. My role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from in-depth fan research to inform user-centric design decisions, to leading UX solutioning process, and ultimately overseeing the delivery of polished UI designs to launch and optimise cohesive and impactful digital experience for the fans.

The foundational component of Australia’s visa transformation program. Enabling global travellers with a world class mobile experience. From applying for the visa to making payments and enabling a walk through at-airport arrival experience. Beyond product design, in a truly greenfield tech space involving advanced biometrics implementations. Designed with users’ privacy in mind. Privacy and consent. By design.
New product design. Strategic design process that received a special mention from the Good Design jury. Impactful outcome for Aware business with 2x engagement on the new products and also leading to 10x increase in member contributions. Behavioural nudges and personalised offer to help members plan for a secure and sound retirement.
Platform design that enabled Woolworths to leapfrog the online grocery delivery business in Australia. Service design followed by product design, all designed around the drivers, customer service agents, and logistics partners. Best of Android Auto design best practices, OHS nudging, parking hotspots assistant and realtime route updates offering the truly next gen digital assistant for the delivery champions, on the go.
A mobile wallet, pre NFC on iOS. And pre Google Wallet on Android. A phygital interaction experience using NFC PayTags. Later upgraded as a white labelled native app experience for Citi in 2019.
Mobile apps for the transport officers. As well as consumer facing Opal apps. Ethnographic research. Accessibility. Designed for the key JTBD for the commuters. Complex ticket validation algorithms. But super seamless front end experience for users. Million+ users. 1 less thing to worry about while taking your morning train.

Pragmatic, lean methods & single minded focus on the outcome. That is my instrument. For change. For good. No two humans are alike. Same with product and design methods, sprint process, project engagements. But fun lies in finding that balance. Orchestration of tasks, mental model, usability, inclusivity, layouts, discoverability, and a whole heap of ingredients that make a successful outcome. And I enjoy this chaos. At scale. Ambiguity and complexity brings out the best of creativity. In all of us. For what is complex can be simple. And what is below par can be top notch.
